The 5th Youth Protection Roundtable Meeting will be the Final Conference open to the public. During the Final Conference the Youth Protection Roundtable will present the outcomes of the project and the impact on a European approach on youth protection on the Internet.
High level representatives of the European Parliament, the European Commission, the UNESCO, from welfare organisations and companies around Europe will discuss the improvement of Internet safety for children and youths. Members of the Youth Protection Roundtable will present examples of implementation of the Guidelines in their daily work.
250 participants from business, academia, politics and the welfare sector from Germany and other European countries are expected. Conference languages are German and English, simultaneous interpreting will be provided.
The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition showing good practise examples for youth protection activities from the welfare sector and from companies also.

The outcomes of the project are the following Guidelines.
Guidelines for technical developments in respect of pedagogical issues
The intentions of these guidelines are
- to inform providers and developers of the risks children and young people may encounter while using their online services,
- to give an overview on supportive technologies for youth protection available so far
- to describe necessary measures to bring supportive technologies into effect efficiently and
- describe general conditions of youth protection
Product-neutral Guidelines for the use of filter technologies and pedagogical measures in private and public areas
The intentions of these guidelines are
- to inform pedagogical multipliers of the connection between particular online appliances and occurring risks related to these appliances,
- to describe appropriate supportive technologies and
- to describe where additional pedagogical measures are needed.
