Republican state legislators are relentlessly attacking abortion rights this year all over the country. In just the first few months of 2018:
FLORIDA: The House passed a ban on the safest, most common method of second trimester abortions, forcing doctors to provide subpar care.
IOWA: The Senate passed a bill that would outlaw nearly all abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest.
MISSISSIPPI: The House and Senate passed a bill to ban abortion after 15 weeks, the first in the nation of its kind, and the governor promised to sign it.
SOUTH DAKOTA: Both chambers passed a bill that bans doctors from telling patients that the state-mandated lies they must recite are politically motivated and inaccurate.
WISCONSIN: A bill is heading to the governor's desk that prevents public workers from using their health insurance to pay for abortion care.
