Downloadraten für Apps gehen nach acht Jahren des Booms erstmals zurück

Das Handy ist zwar noch nicht out, aber der Gipfel des Booms wurde erreicht. Zumidest in den USA ging der Download von Apps erstmals drastisch zurück. In Zahlen sieht das für das letzte Vierteljahr so aus:

• Kurznachrichtendienst Messenger  von zwölf auf weniger als acht Millionen pro Monat
• Messenger  -18 Prozent
• Facebook-App -15 Prozent
• Youtube -20%
• Twitter -18 Prozent
• Google App -30%
• Pandora -35 Prozent

Die Marktforschungsinstitute Nomura Research und SensorTower zeigen diese Entwicklung für den Rest der Welt noch nicht, insbesondere in Afrika besteht noch Nacholbedarf.

Ein anderer Trend macht dafür deutlich: es geht in Richtung bezahlen. Kostenpflichtige spezialisierte Apps sind im Aufwind. Aber wie soll der Mensch bei mehr als 30-40 Apps noch irgendwas auf seinem Winzling finden?
