As the world's first telecom provider Vodafone confirmes: We are tapped by governments and intelligence agenciesIn some countries, the company is obliged to grant direct access to its network to certain authorities. "In a small number of countries, agencies and authorities have direct access to communications data stored within an operator’s network. In those countries, Vodafone will not receive any form of demand for communications data access as the relevant agencies and authorities already have permanent access to customer communications via their own direct link." As a cloud provider vodafone can not garantee the safety of the data of their customers. They publish only official requests of the authorities. Italy with 605.000 request of meta data hits the list (England over 514.000 and Australia 685.000). Even small countries as Czechia has nearly 200.000 requests. Vodafone may not publish the requests in Albania, Eqypt, India, Katar, Romania, South Africa, Turkey, and - only partly Hungary and Malta.
