The pupils can also use the system to pay for food with their thumbs in the restaurant. Mr Browne said that pupils had "accounts" and parents could feed cash into machines around the site, which went into the accounts. The pupils could then get their thumbprint scanned when they paid for food. This is biometric data collection and worse it is from young people who can't properly object and being done ostensibly for 'their own good.'
